Please email me within 5 days of receiving your order, with photos of the damage and the packaging. I’ll replace or refund the item if possible. The unique nature of art makes it hard to set a fix rule here, but my goal is to accomodate you and make sure you are happy with your piece.Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Due to the nature of small-batch prints production and one of a kind paintings, I generally don’t offer returns. That said, if there’s an issue with your order, don’t hesitate to reach out—I want you to be happy with your purchase. -
What type of paint do you use?
Mostly gouache, but I also enjoy working with acrylics. I try not to limit myself—I love experimenting with different materials and surfaces. You’ll find the materials used for each piece in the product description. Is your art digital?
No! Every painting is made in a traditionnal way, with real brushes and paints. That said, I scan my work to create high-quality prints. How do you make your art prints?
I scan the painting using a high-resolution Epson scanner, then adjust the file in Photoshop to match the original as closely as possible. I print everything myself using fine art paper on an Epson inkjet printer.Did you go to art school?
No—I’m self-taught! I learned through curiosity, experimentation, and a lot of trial and error. How long have you been painting?
I’ve always been a creative person, but I really got into painting during the second COVID lockdown. It became a daily ritual and hasn’t left me since. What inspires your work?
Everyday life, small moments, overlooked beauty—anything that feels deeply human. Why do you paint food?
Food is universal. It holds cultural, emotional, and aesthetic value. It’s something we all need, yet it means something different to each of us. Whether it’s about joy, ritual, nostalgia, or survival, food always tells a story—and I love exploring that. What does “Half A Pear” mean?
It’s the name of my YouTube channel—and a little metaphor for life. My family name is “Poirier” which means Pear Tree in French. So “Poire” means “Pear” in French.
No one has it all together. I don’t. You don’t. That’s okay. “Half A Pear” is about embracing imperfection, unpredictability, and the beauty of not having all the answers. -
How should I display my painting or print?
For paper artworks (originals or prints), framing behind glass and keeping them away from direct sunlight is best. You should avoid sticking the work directly on the wall with tape like a poster.
For acrylic paintings, each piece is varnished to protect against UV and wear. You can hang them directly on the wall! How should I care for an acrylic painting?
Dust occasionally with a soft cloth.
For deeper cleaning, use a mild soap and water solution once or twice a year—no harsh cleaners.
Store in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight and humidity.

Yes! When originals are available, you’ll find them listed in the shop.Do you sell prints?
Absolutely. I regularly offer high-quality art prints of my work. What is a limited edition print?
It means I printed a fixed number of copies—never more. If your print says “1/20,” you have the first copy of a 20-print edition. Limited editions are often more valuable to collectors than open (unlimited) editions.Where can I buy your art?
