“Summer Date”
This painting is not from a memory and not from a specific place. I just wanted to set up a quiet table in the middle of nowhere. Something simple. Two chairs, a table, bread, wine, flowers. The kind of things you could bring with you in a bag (kinda). No one is sitting there. Nothing is really happening. But it felt full anyway.

There was no story behind it. No dramatic light or big emotion. Just the feeling of taking the time to make something nice for no real reason. I liked how peaceful it felt. The space. The soft light. The little effort someone might have made just because.

I painted it with gouache on paper. It is quiet and warm and maybe a little strange in its simplicity. But I think it says something about care and presence. Even if no one is in the frame.
