"Everything's cute at Mila's" - Original painting

Café Mila, in Limoilou, was one of my first major points of sale for my art. This retro-style café was one of the first to offer vegan pastries in Québec City. In addition to offering a selection of local food products, it showcases emerging artists from the region. I wanted to pay a tribute to this place by depicting a bag hanging on the famous door of Café Mila's tiled bathroom. The original reference picture was taken by a lovely customer of both Mila’s and me :)

Everything's cute at Mila's is an original artwork created with acrylics on canvas.

This piece explores the pure simple joys of life, like hanging your purse on the door handle of the very aesthetic toilet at your favorite coffee shop. The palette leans toward pinks and reds and invites a mood gratefulness and love for the cute little things!
