"Tchin Tchin" - Original painting

$1,550.00

For me “tchin tchin” is about celebration. When we think about celebrating, it is often done around a table, with food and drinks. It is fitting for the holidays, but I think we should be celebrating more. We should appreciate the overlooked joys of life a little bit more, as well. Maybe it is taken for granted by a lot of people, but an opulent table full of food and drinks is already a reason to celebrate. It is a privilege to have access to that, and this is why I think that tablescapes are so beautiful and fascinating. It tells many stories : the one of the people around the table, the one of the labor to harvest/butcher/bake all of the food (most likely not the ones around the table), the one of the people who could never dream of having a seat at a table like that, the one of everybody who came before us and passed the traditions down… and many more. And we should make a toast to that!
